2010 Robert Mondavi Private Selection Pinot Grigio

This Pinot Grigio is from the Robert Mondavi Private Selection line of wines. I’ve had some Pinot Grigio before, and, while I’ve liked some, I’m starting to think that I’m just not that fond of this particular grape.

I get some gooseberry and citrus on the nose, but I’m not getting much in the way of fruit on the palate. There’s a hint of some fruit, but it’s very fleeting. There’s some mineral along with some acidity. It doesn’t seem like a very complex wine. It’s a decent wine for $11, but it wouldn’t be my first choice.

This gets a “Good” rating.
