1st May: Google Doodle Honours Workers on May Day

International Workers Day

In many countries around the world Labour Day is not celebrated on the 1st of May and falls into different months. In Australia Labour Day or Workers Day is celebrated in the first Monday in October and in Canada in December.

Many countries celebrate Labour Day as International Workers Day which is in essence the same as Labour Day. International Workers Day is celebrated in 80 different countries around the world.

Rated among the world’s best employers, search giant Google saluted the spirit of workers by dedicating a Doodle on its homepage to mark International Workers’ Day.

The Doodle features the Google logo in the shape of a building with several workers on their job.
