@ Prague, Czech republic
April 2019
I was able to visit the excellent National Technical Museum in Prague, with a nice collection of historic aircraft. While most of the exhibits are indigenous, this 1917 LWF Model V is an American design. Produced by the Lowe, Willard & Fowler Engineering Company, the Model V was primarily relegated to training as its performance was not competitive when compared to available French and British reconnaissance aircraft. The Czechoslovak Legions purchased 28 well worn second-hand examples from the United States Army Air Service for use during the Czech fight for independence, with this being the only survivor of the 130 produced.
