Taurus contains the principle of beauty in creation. Venus, the ruler of love and beauty in form, is the regent of this sign. Form is only a vessel through which beauty is reflected, but it is not beauty itself. Waves of beauty radiate through a flower. Its beauty lies in its completeness, not in the matter of the flower. Man and woman are also attracted to each other through beauty. Our reaction to beauty is expressed in the initial stages through desire, then aspiration and in higher levels through love. It finds its highest expression in bhakti, devotion to the divine.
