This time of year food can be scarce for our feathered friends. Branches are picked bare and other food sources can be buried under several feet of snow. Putting out a bird feeder is more than just a free meal for the birds, it is also a great way to add interest and entertainment to your garden during the winter months.

Check out these easy DIY bird feeders that you can make and get a garden party started for some special guests.

This recycled toilet paper roll is a quick project that the kids will enjoy making too. Simply smear some natural organic peanut butter (just a thin layer is all that is needed) onto the tube and then roll it into the seed. Hang it by a string from a tree or stick it onto a spike.
