Syfy’s cultural phenomenon Sharknado debuted last night, and everyone was tweeting about it. There was a social media explosion with Sharknado. However, the film only pulled in 1.3 million viewers, which is apparently the same number some shitfest called Independence Day-Saster pulled in two week ago, with no social media mention. So, Sharknado is just par for the course for Syfy, and not quite the massive hit it seemed it was going to be.
