Now that the pressure of keeping your Resolutions is behind you, it’s time to really start having fun. And February definitely won’t disappoint. Here are the best Chicago events this month.

Groundhog Day

February 2

What will it be? Spring or more winter? No matter what this little critter decides, you can add some fun to this holiday re-watching the classic Bill Murray film, Groundhog Day, playing at the Logan Theatre.

Retro Ski Lodge Block Party

February 10

A retro ski lodge-themed bar crawl taking place at Butch McGuire’s, Coconutz, The Hangge Uppe, Hopsmith Tavern, The Lodge, McFadden’s, Original Mother’s, Mother’s Too, and She-nannigans.

Chicago Pizza Party

February 10

Brought to you in two sessions, make your way through three floors of pizza featured by 25 local restaurants, along with beer from local breweries, a rooftop dessert lounge, and DJ entertainment at the Ravenswood Event Center.

Chicago Theatre Week

February 8 – 18

Returning for its sixth year, this week in February celebrates the city’s amazing theater scene with over 100 different productions taking place throughout the city at discounted prices.

Cider Summit

February 17

The region’s largest cider festival featuring artisanal ciders from around the world takes place at Navy Pier, with general admission and VIP tickets available. The festival takes place in two sessions, from 11am – 3pm and 4pm – 8pm. Attendees must be 21 and over.

Chicago Auto Show

February 10 – 19

The largest auto show in North America returns to display approximately 1,000 vehicles, including domestic and imported passenger cars, trucks, sport utility vehicles and concept cars. You can also check out car accessories, competition vehicles, and collector and antique cars.

Valentine’s Day

February 14

There’s so much to do in Chicago to celebrate the day of love. Go ice skating, hop on a singles’ bar crawl, treat your loved one to dinner at a top restaurant or cruise line, or check out more in our Valentine’s Day guide. You can also head to Navy Pier for one of their many Valentine’s Day activities, such as a magical ride on the Centennial Wheel.

February 17

The creators of TBOX are comin’ back at you this month with an equally wild and festive event. Bring New Orleans to Chicago with a Mardi Gras-themed bar crawl in Wrigleyville. Enjoy Bud Light and Goose Island drink specials, $2 – $3 Cajun food samples, a t-shirt, and opportunities to win cool prizes.

Polar Adventure Days

February 24

This family-friendly event only takes place three times this season, and this is the last one before next winter. From noon to 4pm, head to the lovely Northerly Island to play with Siberian huskies and wolves, participate in winter activities, make crafts, walk in snowshoes and sip hot cocoa.

Northalsted Frost Fest

February 24 – 25

Warm up with a two-day winter party in the Northalsted area of Lakeview. This street festival will keep you toasty with a heated tent and over 40 craft beers while you dance to music and socialize with neighbors. Tickets are $35 and sessions take place from 1pm – 4pm and 6pm – 9pm.
