10 Facial Yoga Steps to One Those Facial Muscles

Facial yoga is the new in thing.So if you feel that you need to get rid of wrinkles with a Botox treatment or are worrying about a sagging brow line, facial yoga is here to your rescue.

Here are some simple yoga exercises that will give you youthful looking skin.

Lion Face:Benefit: Stretches facial muscles and releases tension.

  • Open your mouth wide and stick out your tongue, squeezing your facial muscles and roar like a lion.
  • Repeat 5 times.

Smiling Fish Face:Benefit: Tone and slim the cheeks and lips

  • Suck in your cheeks and lips to make it appear like a fish and try smiling.
  • Hold for 5-10 seconds.
  • Repeat 5 times.

Surprise me:Benefit: Removes wrinkles on the forehead

  •  Widen your eyes without wrinkling your forehead.
  • Concentrate on a point over the horizon
  • Hold for 5-10 seconds.
  • Repeat 5 times.

Marilyn:Benefit: Strengthens the lips

  • Blow kisses keeping your brow straight.
  • Repeat 5 times
  • Press your index and middle finger to your lips and repeat the exercise.

Puppet face:Benefit: removes lines between the lips and nose

  •  Smile and press fingers in the crease between the lips and nose.
  • Lift the muscles up and press the fingertips on the area for resistance.
  • Repeat 20-30 times.

Smiling Buddha-Benefit: Remove lines on the face

  •  Fold your lips into your mouth so that they are not visible.
  • Smile in this position.
  • Repeat 10 – 12 times.

 The Giraffe-Benefit: Rid the neck of lines and loose skin

Look straight, place the finger on the base of your neck and pull the skin downwards, then tilt the head backwards.

  • Bring the head to the chest and repeat the exercise again.
  • Jut the lower lip out to pull the corners of the mouth.
  • Place the fingers on the collar bone with the chin pointed upwards.
  • Hold for 10-15 seconds.
  • Repeat 5 times.

The V-Benefit: Reduces drooping eyelids, crow’s feet and eye bags

  •  Press both index fingers between the eyebrows.
  • Then with the index finger apply pressure on the outer end of the eyebrows.
  • Look to the ceiling and raise the lower lids to create a squint. Relax.
  • Repeat 5 times.

Relax at the end by shutting eyes for 10 seconds.

Chubby face-Benefit: reduce fat on the face

  • Inhale air with your mouth
  • Transfer air from one side of the cheek to the other
  • Repeat 15 times.

Jaw lift-Benefit: Tone and reduce fat on the neck and cheeks

  •  Look high up to the ceiling, as far as you can.
  • Blow air out of your mouth while looking up.
  • Repeat 15 times.
