Hold on to your bottles of synethetic blood,
Trubies! Creator
Alan Ball has dropped another bombshell about our beloved
True Blood;
Season six will only have ten episodes!
Ball told
TV Guide they’re moving the production to January not only to accomodate the pregnancy of
Anna Paquin (who plays the main character,
Sookie Stackhouse) but also for economic reasons. So that means they have to cover the mystery of
Warlow,
Billith, and of course, the sex scenes we pretend we don’t watch for into two less episodes than prior seasons.
But take heart! Especially for Sookie/
Alcide fans, because Alan Ball has teased that the sexy werewolf might not have “totally dropped the torch that he carries for her.”
“There will also be some other characters maybe who we know and love who are pursuing a less than generous agenda,” Ball continued to tease, also noting that
Jason might be a danger to the
vamps of
Bon Temps.
Season Six of the hit
HBO show is scheduled to hit in the summer of 2013, which gives Trubies plenty of time to think about how two less episodes might affect the new season and the characters they love.
