Diljit Dosanjh Stickers Now on LINE

Posted on the 09 April 2015 by Jyoti Arora @Jy0tiAr0ra

O Terii!

Often while chatting with my friends, whether on Facebook or through a smartphone messaging app, I realize how much we have come to rely on the use of emoticons. As our face to face interactions diminish and we rely more and more on our smart gadgets, we are using ‘smileys’ more and more to communicate our feelings easily and quickly. Words like lol, haha serve the same purpose. Communicating our feelings with fewer keystrokes.

When it comes to emoticons, I love the animated emoticons of Skype best. I use them abundantly while communicating with my official colleagues. My favorite is the facepalm. My colleagues keep on giving me plenty of opportunities to use it! But even more fun than these animated emoticons are the cool and funny stickers that several social messaging apps now offer.

Readers of this blog would know that out of these popular social messaging apps, I’m quite a fan of LINE. I especially enjoy the Indian themed stickers that are offered on LINE. Well, the latest news is that LINE has added a set of 16 new stickers to their collection of Indian themed stickers. And fans of Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh would be happy to know that all these sixteen new stickers features him in various moods and expressions.

Oye Hoye Ki Nakhre!

Talking about this, singer, actor and television present Diljit Dosanjh said, “I couldn’t be more thrilled to be on LINE. Personalized stickers are something I always wanted to have. I am a huge fan of LINE and an active user of the fun stickers. Now that I have my customized stickers, it would give me another creative way to keep myself connected with fans and friends.”

And Daman Soni, Spokesperson of LINE India said, “We are glad to have Mr. Diljit Dosanjh on-board with LINE. We are very confident that our LINE users will effectively connect with Diljit in ‘most entertaining and innovative’ way.”

The stickers are available for free download from 9th April, 2015 and will remain free for six months. And now that the Punjabi festival Baisakhi is just around the corner, the arrival of these stickers is surely well timed.

So if you are a Punjabi or enjoy using cool Punjabi phrases, go ahead and check out the stickers. You might find them useful to have a ‘O teri’ or a ‘balle balle’ moment with your friends!
