Ten Books Sitting On My Shelf I Need to Read

By Curlygeek04 @curlygeek04

This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic, hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl, is ten books sitting on my shelf I want to read. This is a perfect topic for me at the moment. Thanks to book clubs, used book sales and Little Free Libraries, I have way more books on my shelves than I can possibly read.

To come up with a reasonably-sized list, I looked at books with the highest Goodreads ratings. Not a perfect strategy but it is one way to narrow down the books on my bookshelf. I’ve already read books by Eric R. Thomas, Rachel Beanland, and Dani Shapiro, so those books are high on my list. The others are books I know little about. Lucky Red is a book club pick from Jenny Lawson, and several people have recommended Passing and The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry. Have you read any of these?

  1. Congratulations, The Best is Over! by Eric R. Thomas
  2. The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry by Rachel Joyce
  3. Florence Adler Swims Forever by Rachel Beanland
  4. Passing by Nella Larsen
  5. Signal Fires by Dani Shapiro
  6. The Distance Between Us by Reyna Grande
  7. The Henna Artist by Alka Joshi
  8. A More Perfect Union by Tammye Huf
  9. Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli
  10. Ready or Not by Cara Bastone
  11. Lucky Red by Claudia Cravens
