Posted on the 25 July 2013 by Smartadblog @SmartAdServerEN

According to IAB sources, global mobile advertising revenues has surged 82.8% in 2012.

Indeed, the market is getting more mature in all regions, so is advertisers’ demand for high-impact mobile ad formats; they are willing to take the most of smartphones’ interactive capabilities.

Amazing CTR’s  have been reached by mobile rich media innovative campaigns delivered  by our technology to our publisher supports (such as  Assassin’s Creed III Case Study ).

In such dynamic context, members of the IAB Marketing Center of Excellence defined MRAID standard which aims at creating solid ground for mobile rich media growth by structuring the market and normalizing the way mobile creative informations  are shared between publishers and agencies that set up rich media campaigns.

Mobile Rich Media – Say hello to MRAID 2.0

Basically, MRAID definition is “a standardized set of commands, designed to work with HTML5 and JavaScript, that developers creating mobile rich media ads will use to communicate what those ads do (expand, resize, get access to device functionalities such as the accelerometer, etc) with the apps they are being served into.” More details are available here.

MRAID 2.0, the latest version of the standard, has been released a few weeks ago.

At Smart AdServer, we continuously improve our products to bring the most efficient answers to market evolution. We have updated our SDKs to make them compliant with the latest MRAID version.

Any mobile customers of Smart AdServer can now integrate iOS SDK and Android SDK 4 which are are fully MRAID 2.0 compliant and make the most of mobile rich media and html5.
