We have come to this: two Republican campaign advisers, Rick Wilson and Pat Brady, separately called for killing front runner Donald Trump.
Rick Wilson
Tony Lee reports for Breitbart.com that in an interview with MSNBC’s Chris Hayes on the evening of Oct. 27, 2015, Republican consultant Rick Wilson said that “Trump is still a very powerful force right now” because he appeals to part of the conservative base activated by Trump’s anti-immigrant “nativist” message.
Speaking to the GOP establishment donor class, Wilson said they “can’t just sit back on the sidelines and say, ‘oh well, don’t worry, this will all work itself out.’ They’re still going to have to go out and put a bullet in Donald Trump. And that’s a fact.”
Pat Brady
Doug Ibendahl, an attorney and former General Counsel of the Illinois Republican Party, reports for Republican News Watch that on WGN radio on the morning of December 16, 2015, host Steve Cochran was talking about the previous night’s Republican presidential debate with Pat Brady, a co-chair of Republican Ohio governor John Kasich’s presidential campaign in Illinois. Brady is also a former chairman of the Illinois Republican Party.
Trump is ahead from Kasich by around 30 points in national polls. A new poll of Illinois voters found that Kasich has only a 3% support in Illinois.
At about one hour and 10 minutes into the Cochran radio show (click here for the audio), Brady said:
“If you’re gonna take on Trump you gotta take him out with a head shot.”
A few minutes later, Brady redoubled his call for assassinating Trump:
“You gotta be ready to rip his head off.”
