Eco-friendly Home That Changes to Take Advantage of Sun, Wind and Rain

By Homesmsp @HomesMSP

In honor of Earth Day I had to share an eco-friendly home dreamt up by imaginative architect Michael Jantzen that simply made me smile.

This Transformation House literally changes its appearance to take advantage of weather conditions.

The five cylindrical sections move, either manually or automatically, to catch energy from the sun to power it, let the wind in to cool it, and collect rainwater for use by the people who live there. That means its appearance changes every time one of the sections rotates.

And it's not just the exterior that moves... everything in the house can be shuffled around. The windows move 360 degrees so you can tweak your view at the push of a button... and four different rooms are stored in containers under the glass floors. If you want to hide a messy room, just hide it under the floor and call up a clean one!
