BSF's Brutality on Suspected Cow Smuggler

NDTV airing the video footage of BSF Brutality

An appaling incident took place on Monday, 16th January, 2012 at the Kaharpara Indo-Bangla border outpost . The video footage of a suspected cow smuggler being tortured brutally by 8 Indian Border Security Force(BSF) personnel at the Indo-Bangla Border has shocked and outraged the people on both the sides of the border. The video, depicts the BSF jawans stripping off the Bangladeshi man and brutally torturing him as he cries for mercy. It also reveals that the BSF jawans were mocking him and actually acting like sadists. This man is an alleged cow smuggler who refused to pay Bribe to these BSF jawans. There are unconfirmed reports that the victim died during the torture and his body was thrown across the border. This incident would have gone unnoticed, but for the fact the BSF jawan who shot this video on his mobile had gone to a mobile store in nearby Raninagar to download some ring-tones. The mobile shop owner was terrified by the brutality of this video, he made copies of it and circulated the Video Footage CD's among the journalists and right activists. This man should be thanked for his brave attempt to bring the truth in the limelight. This video was then on air on every News channel in India.Later in this week, BSF identified and suspended the 8 BSF jawans accused of torturing the victim to death. A detailed staff court of inquiry has been setup to take actions according to BSF Act rules for misconduct. It is to be noted that, Cattle smuggling across the border is common and people from both sides of the border are involved in it. This man had refused to pay bribe that brought upon him this brutal torture.Star Ananda ReportingSo does it prove that "Suspected" (not Confirmed though) cow smuggler is a bigger Criminal than "Confirmed and Eye-Witnessed" Pakistani TERRORIST Ajmal Amir Kasab (who was involved in 2008 Mumbai Attacks)!
