Reactions As Deadly Bandits Leader Who Has Killed Several People And Burnt Down Villages Is Captured

Kachallah Mai Daji, a notorious bandits leader who has killed dozens of victims, abducted hundreds of people and burnt down several villages in the Northeast part of Nigeria has been arrested by the Niger Armed Forces.

According to the report by Punch on Monday, in the past ten years, Kachallah Mai Daji has unleashed a reign of terror in the Illela region, near the border between Nigeria and Niger.

He is said to have been terrorizing villages such as Darna Tsolawo, Tudun Gudali, Tozai, Sabon Garin Darna, Takalmawa, Gidan Hamma, Ambarura, Basanta, Gidan Bulutu, Dan Kadu and several other villages in the area.

In the statement which was released by Zagazola Makama, a security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, he said, “He has killed dozens of people, burnt down villages, kidnapped hundreds and imposed levies on villages for almost ten years.”

In addition to that, Zagazola Makama revealed that the bandit kingpin was captured by the Nigerien forces when he was trying to rustle livestock across the Nigeria-Niger border.

He said, “He was apprehended by Nigerien forces when he tried to rustle livestock through the country border.”
