How Mike reversed type 2 diabetes in five months

Can you reverse your type 2 diabetes in only five months? The answer is a clear yes if you ask Mike!

Not only has his blood sugars normalized since June this year when he started a keto diet, he also feels much better and has lost 24 lbs (11 kg)!

Here's his experience in his own words:

Mike's story

Hi,

Around my 76th birthday in June 2019, I started keto. To date (November 2019) I have lost 24 pounds (11 kg). I feel fitter and look better than I have for a very long while.

My wife started me on it and I thought "why not?". I have nothing to lose but weight! And if it could also help my blood sugar levels I would give it a go. And I'm glad I did.

My blood sugar has plummeted and I have pretty much reversed my type 2 diabetes.

My blood sugar has plummeted and I have pretty much reversed my type 2 diabetes. The diabetes practitioner at the local surgery is very impressed and said the next review in January would confirm this if I continued on the current path - which I intend to do.

There are a few foods that I miss, but more than compensated for now, since I can eat - and enjoy - most of the foods that were previously avoided.

Once I got used to the idea that there is no such thing as essential carbs - pretty quickly - I found that I needed less food to satisfy my hunger.
