Story Reviews

Old Chief Wood’nhead: This one starts with Ray Spruce, a small town shop owner who has himself a Native American, he along with his wife Martha who wants him to retire because the town has slowly started to become deserted. When the leader of the Native American Ben brings Ray his people’s treasure as a mark of respect to show they will pay their debts back, things take a turn when a group of thugs rob the shop and kill Ray and Martha. Seeing his owners murdered the statue comes to life to get revenge for the deaths of his masters. This is a typical revenge like story that takes a long time to build and is over way too quickly. (5/10)

The Raft: This story finds a group of college students on a trip away drinking and smoking weed, they are heading to this raft in the middle of a lake, what they find in this lake is a mysterious blob that devourers whatever it touches. This is one I do like because it goes straight into the action never being afraid to sacrifice character development as well as being gory as they come. (8/10)

The Hitchhiker: This final story follows a cheating wife who in a desperate race to get back to her home before her husband gets home hits a hitchhiker before driving off. The rest of her journey follows her questioning her morale compass as she decides if she should have stop before the ghost of the hitchhiker starting to haunt her. I like this non stop style along with the gore value being used throughout. (7/10)
