Fitness Friday: Gym Bag Favorites

By Fitnspicy @fitnspicy

Between 3 days a week of yoga and 2-3 days at the gym I always feel like I am lugging around so.much.stuff. All of these years going to workout have taught me a few things about staying organized.

Gym Bag Favorites

For Yoga

Gaiam Everything Fits Yoga Bag, I received this for a a blog contest and have used it a few times a week since I’ve gotten it. Perfect for yoga and having everything I need.

In the bag goes 2 hand towels, my water bottle, a Yogitoes towel for my mat.

Yogitoes Skidless Towels. They are expensive but so worth it, through gifts and sales I am up to 4. My oldest one is over 3 years old and it still looks decent. A little faded from all the washing but I am still using it at least once a week. I wash them after every class and rotate through the 4 I own. If you sign up for the email list they do actually run sales a few times a year and I have 2 that I got for 50% off.

For the Gym

Having a big enough gym bag is key, I have one from my gym that has a pretty big compartment and side pockets that fits my clothes, toiletries, makeup bag, and my gloves, heart rate monitor, notebook and water bottle. My bag is never fully unpacked, I just change out clothes, refill toiletries, and grab my make-up bag to put in there. I put it out the night before and make sure it is ready to go.

I really like a big bag like this Under Amour or Adidas

Mini Organizing Utility Tote from Thirty One

This is almost 2 years old and it has been filled with the products I need when I shower at the gym. It is the best thing ever for my shampoo, conditioner, face wash, shower gel, razor, lotion and hair styling products. I just bought refillable bottles at Target and keep reusing those instead of buying travel sizes.  I don’t know if they have the exact size I ordered a few years ago but this option would still work really well.

Nike Women’s Weightlifting Gloves

People either love or hate lifting gloves. While they aren’t exactly pretty they do help my hands from getting calloused and torn up when lifting. I’ve had the same one for almost 2 years and I’ve washed them a handful of times and they still look great. 3 years is about what I get out of them. Either the women’s run really small or I have giant hands I needed to buy a large to make sure I could get them on and off. I had started with the men’s and they were just too bulky for my hands.
