Commanders of the Milky Way, gather around for Elite Dangerous has dropped its latest patch. Check out all the patch notes here which includes new additions, bug fixes and some artwork changes.

Elite Dangerous Patch Notes

New Features

  • The game welcomes the brand new Elite Dangerous spacecraft, the Python Mk II. This spacecraft comes equipped with enhanced SCO capabilities.
  • More prebuilt ships have been added:
  1. Python Mk II Stellar
  2. Python Mk II Standard
  3. Exploration Jumpstart Diamondback Explorer
  4. AX Combat Jumpstart Alliance Chieftain
  5. Laser Mining Jumpstart Type-6
  • Achilles Aerospace completes more Supercruise Overcharge research:
  1. Nowadays, a wide range of SCO Frame Shift Drives with different specializations, rated E-A and available in sizes 2-7, can be found in numerous markets around the galaxy.
  2. With SCO Frame Shift Drives, engineers may now implement the Faster Boot Sequence, Shielded, and Increased Range enhancements.
  3. It is now possible to design all currently available Frame Shift Drive experimental effects on SCO Frame Shift Drives.
  4. The SCO Frame Shift Drive jump range’s safety restrictions have been loosened. Enjoy the greatest Frame Shift Drives that mankind has ever created.
  • Supercruise Overcharge balance:
  1. Most ships now produce less heat, which helps to manage ships with low heat capabilities.
  2. The Dolphin and Diamondback Scout’s heat generation has been improved, so while using Supercruise Overcharge, they no longer run abnormally cold.
  3. C-class module costs have been modified to reflect the new range of SCO Frame Shift Drives that are now available.
  4. New complete black and full white Titan Destroyed decals have been added; those who have already acquired an existing variant can access these instantly.

Bug Fixes

The following bug fixes have been implemented:

  • Frame rate is linked to fixed SCO heat generation.
  • You can no longer utilize SCO and teammate navlock to accidentally teleport large distances, but you can still stop quickly without being hurt if you employ friendship power.
  • Resolved a crash that occurred when an Anaconda ran out of fuel and the SCO was on.
  • Resolved crashes that occurred when playing solo instances of Titans.\
  • Repaired certain UI’s failure to report the “Supercruise Overcharge Unavailable” statistic for FSD modules.
  • When selling a stored ship, non-localized language that appeared for ship names in the session logs was fixed.
  • The info panel’s excessively frequent appearance of the message “Not enough fuel to maintain overcharge – emergency dropping” has been fixed.

Art

  • Repaired the Python’s improperly glowing heat vents.
  • Some ship thrusters that occasionally glow when not in flight have been fixed.
  • The Titan Destroyed decals were adjusted to prevent it from being cut off by some ships’ geometry.
  • To make the Wireframe Gold paintjobs look more metallic, they have been modified
  • To better depict the paint job, the icon for the Mamba Gold paintjob has been updated.
