2027 Election: The North Cannot Support Someone Who Will Want To Run For Another 8 Years- Magnus Abe

Senator Magnus Abe has claimed that without the efforts of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would not have won Rivers State in the 2023 election.

According to the report by Vanguard, Magnus Abe said that the Northerners will be looking out for who will come out to contest the 2027 presidential election, adding that the North cannot support someone who will want to do another eight years in office.

Senator Magnus Abe said this when he met with his supporters on Wednesday in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State.

He said, “Without Wike, Tinubu would not have won in Rivers State working with us alone. This is how Nigerian politics works. In 2027, the North will look at who will come out to contest for presidency. The North cannot support somebody who will want to run for another eight years. The North will still support President Tinubu to do his years.”

Speaking further, Magnus Abe who is a former governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) said that he is ready to work with Wike to make sure that President Tinubu wins his second term bid in 2027.

He also spoke about the political crisis in Rivers State, saying that he has deep respect for the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, but that he will always work for his party.
