Review: Estee Lauder Genuine Glow Blushing Creme for Lip and Cheeks

By Beautifulbuns

Whenever I reviewed blushers in the past, I would inadvertently draw reference to Pikachu’s cheeks if I were to become too heavy handed in application. I guess now that Pokemon Go is all the rage, looking like the game’s mascot isn’t all that bad (just don’t wear an all-yellow onesie else people be throwing balls at you hurhurhur). Here’s a blusher that I’m using these days.

I say…

The Packaging: A long cylindrical tube with a click-on cap that has the blusher twist out (kinda like a lipstick bullet).

The Scent: A mild fragrance that’s only obvious during application. It doesn’t linger around for long.

The Texture: It’s kinda balmy – like a tinted lip balm but for your cheeks. It can come across as being “sticky” – meaning it’s not creamy and doesn’t glide smooth across your skin BUT there’s no sticky residue. Its texture just means the color doesn’t “travel” much across the surface of your cheeks. The color itself is relatively sheer, but true to its name, it does give a nice glow (just be sure to blend out the color properly).

The Verdict: Yes, this may be inspired by Kbeauty trends, but it doesn’t mean I’m biased. That aside, I actually do like this product. It gives a natural rosy flush, and does give a nice subtle glow. The color is sheer with just a light layer, but if you want to give it a more vibrant colour, just apply several more coats. The color lasts pretty long and doesn’t sink into the pores of your skin. Me likey!~
