LOCATION

Conrad Bangkok is located along Wireless Road or Thanon Witthayu, which is one of the most prominent thoroughfares and business hubs in the city. Easily within reach are a plethora shopping centers, restaurants, and attractions—all of which may be reached by foot, motosai (motorcycle), taxi, Uber, or the BTS Skytrain Ploenchit station, which is five minutes away by foot.

STYLE/CHARACTER

Conrad Hotels & Resorts, a luxury brand of Hilton Worldwide, goes for personalized service:

Conrad Hotels & Resorts is access to life as you want to live it. A place to experience service and style on your own terms. A place to connect with the world. A place to stay inspired. We offer our guests one-of-a-kind experiences with sophisticated, locally inspired surroundings. Service that's more than personal, it's intuitive. And connections to people and places around the corner, and halfway around the world.

Although Conrad is known more to cater to business travelers, I stayed at Conrad Bangkok to personally experience how its hotels may be suitable for leisure travelers as well.

Upon entering the stark lobby of the hotel, I immediately observed how ornately luxurious it looked. Contemporary Thai design was evident throughout, especially with the choice of décor. And as I was checking in, I couldn’t help but notice the relaxing fragrance of flowers.

ROOMS

Just like the lobby, the room’s character is a marriage of local influences and contemporary design, utilizing natural wood panels and beautiful Thai décor. I was billeted in a room at a high floor, so the arresting view of the skyline couldn’t be any better.

Being a five-star hotel, rooms are equipped with all the necessary conveniences. I particularly loved the bed, which like the ones found at Hilton are supremely comfortable, as well as the pillows, which probably were the best ones I’ve ever had the pleasure sleeping on. By the way, the immaculate bathroom was stocked with toiletries by Aromatherapy Associates.

FACILITIES

Amid the impressive facilities for meetings and conferences are amenities for leisure travelers: a huge resort-style pool area, fitness center, spa, tennis courts, and rooftop running track.

SERVICE

Staff members, warm and hospitable, saw to it that my needs were met, and they handled my requests efficiently.

VALUE FOR MONEY

Conrad Bangkok charges above average nightly rates. But with how luxurious its rooms and facilities are and how personalized its service is, it’s worth the splurge.
