Rattle Me Bones Review & Competition

By Evette Garside @evette77

Here is our new and rather spooky board game from Drumond Park.

Rattle Me Bones Review & Competition
It's a really fun family game which can be played both young and old. The age recommendation is 5 and over due to small parts but younger ones could easily join in too.

If I was to compare this game to any from my childhood then it has to be Buckaroo, it follows the same concept of removing parts but a little more scary.

First a look inside the box!

So as you can see it's a little different to the average family board game. For a start there is no board and no dice or counters. What's inside is the skeleton of "old Cap'n Boney, a spinner, and his accessories which include a treasure chest and golden coins.

First thing is to put batteries into the skeleton and attach his accessories just like this.

Then the fun can begin. Players spin the spinner and whatever colour they get is the colour of accessory they must remove. If no accessories of that colour remain then they must take a coin from the chest.

"Sounds so easy doesn't it?"

Well it's actually not so easy as Ole Cap'n Boney wants keep hold of his treasure and the moment he feels someone is trying to steal it; he rises up, jumps, shakes and rattles and scares players out of their turn. Watch this and see for yourself.

Winning is simply collecting 3 pieces of treasure without waking him up and then taking his hat.

We have had lots of fun playing this throughout the school holidays. It's certainly different to other games we have. Unfortunately poor Izebella has a fear of skeletons and does not like it so we have to play when she's in bed.

This game costs approximately £22.99 from most good toy stores.
