Verdict on Love, Courage and the Battle of Bushy Run

Love, Courage and the Battle of Bushy Run is an action movie following a group of British soldiers trying to protect their forts from Native Americans. It uses the idea that peace has been created and suddenly the Native Americans have become ruthless in battle. Mix in a big of upper class romance we see a noble soldier fighting for his men.

This movie uses the battle between the Europeans (mostly British) fighting against the Native Americans. It shows the barbaric nature of the war and the narrow minds left to fight against someone who is simply different. Sadly, it portrays the Native Americans as savages and the British as the calming presence in the area. The battles also feel basic compared to previous epics we have seen before.

Where to Watch

It arrives on UK Digital on 13th May 2024

Final ThoughtsLove, Courage and the Battle of Bushy Run is the typical colonization story.
