As if ZooLights needed anything else to attract visitors, right? Still, this year’s event includes a brand new ice skating rink, welcoming all ages and providing rental skates for those in need. It’s $5 for admission and $5 for a pair of skates.

Another big highlight, the Lionel Train Adventure. This trackless, 28-passenger train takes you on a journey through a picturesque forest, canyon, and bridge before returning to the station. Rides are just $3 per person.

When Is It?

The switch flips on this Friday, November 28th. The lights will burn brightly from Friday-Sunday until December 13th. But don’t fret, from December 14th on, the lights will shine consistently until January 3rd. The lights will not be on this Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, however.

Price

Lincoln Park Zoo
ZooLights is completely free, though some of the extra features will cost few a few dollars here and there. Still, for a zoo that offers free admission year-round, a few dollars is a small price to pay.
