Zeven Media Secures £50,000 Investment from Deborah Meaden on Dragons’ Den

Posted on the 25 January 2015 by Zevenmedia

The two founders of Zeven Media, brothers Josh and Hyrum Cook, have won over Dragons’ Den investor Deborah Meaden and secured a £50,000 boost for their growing photo booth company.

The pair appeared on the BBC2 show on Sunday 25th January. The dragons were won over by their cheeky personalities and obvious drive and passion for their young business. The cash will be used to launch their new line of contactless payment photo booths, equipped with an internet connection, social media sharing abilities and instant printing.

Joshua Cook, co-owner of the business said “We’re thrilled that Deborah saw the potential in our company and will be helping us in our growth.”

“Nobody else is doing contactless payment photobooths in the UK yet – we have the designs ready and know there will be a huge appetite for them.”

Deborah Meaden, who the brothers chose for her experience and contacts in the coin operated market said “I really liked Zeven’s modern fresh approach to a pretty traditional market but that coupled with a focused, energetic and comprehensive presentation from Josh and Hyrum turned a pretty interesting proposition into a compelling one.”

“Sometimes It is as much or even more about the people than the product and it wasn’t long before I became convinced that the Photo Booths would be first of many innovations we would present.”
