Zane Cagle and Andrew Mundwiller Named to Super Lawyers, 2019

Congratulations to Andrew G. Mundwiller and Zane T Cagle recognized this year to the elite group Missouri & Kansas of Super Lawyers 2019!

The honor of Super Lawyer is a selection process through Thompson Reuters involving peer-nomination and evaluation. The recommendations and awards are made annually and done on a state-by-state basis. The final number of attorneys selected to Super Lawyers are the top 5 percent of the lawyers in the state.

Zane T. Cagle has been honored to be on the Super Lawyers list since 2015. Prior, Zane had the privilage of being named to the Super Lawyers Rising Star list in 2013 and 2014. Zane was named to the Top 40 Under 40 with The National Trail Lawyers Association, 2013 and 2014 which is a possible dual recognition with Rising Stars. This honor was limited to 40 attorneys in the state under the age of 40 and invitation only. Zane attended law school at Washington University. Zane initially practiced in the Virgin Islands for two years, then returned to St. Louis to practice personal injury beginning in 2005. Zane practices law in Missouri, Illinois and Kentucky.

Andrew G. Mundwiller has been named to the 2019 Rising Star- Super Lawyers. Andrew also earned this honor in 2017 and 2018. Andrew Mundwiller was named to the Top 40 Under 40 of the National Trial Lawyers Association as well which includes the top 2.5 percent of attorneys in the state. Andrew was born and raised in St. Louis. He attended Missouri State University and played on the men's varsity ice hockey team. Andrew attended law school at Widener University in Wilmington, DE and is a powerful advocate for injured people in Illinois and Missouri.

Selection Process

Lawyers cannot nominate themselves nor can they campaign for the honor of Super Lawyer.

Lawyers can be entered through managing partner surveys, nomination by peers, third party feedback or identification through the Super Lawyers Research Team.

There are 12 indicators each candidate is evaluated on professional achievement and peer recognition. Those indicators include:

Verdict/Settlements; Transactions; Representative Clients; Experience; Honors/Awards; Position within Law Firm; Bar & Professional activity; Pro bono and community service; Scholarly lectures/writings' Education/employment background and other outstanding achievements

Peer Evaluation

Candidates with the highest point totals from the nomination and research portion are sent through a process of peer review. Once the peer reviews are completed, 2.5 percent of attorneys selected to the Rising Star category and 5 percent are selected to Super Lawyers

Top 40 Under 40

Candidates that are eligible for the Rising Star Award are also possibly candidates for the Top 40 Under 50 list. As the title describes, those Rising Stars can only qualify for the Top 40 Under 40 if they are under the age of 40 years.
