This phone uses the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Theoretical performance of the theoretical Xiaomi 12s Pro exceeds all the existing Android phones, scoring 1.1 million points on Antutu, the comparison application.

This 12S series features the leica lens and image profile, while the Ultra version is equipped with special camera lenses, such as new materials and aspherical lenses, to achieve better image quality. Xiaomi 12s Ultra has three cameras from 13mm to 120mm

The Ultra model also adopts the largest CMOS imaging sensor that is relatively largest-Sony IMX989-in the back of the main camera. Such a large sensor helps provide better imaging performance, especially in low light. Other brands such as Sony and Sharp are trying to adopt large imaging sensors on smartphones, but the two brands have relatively small smartphone delivery.

The 12S series screen specifications follow industry standards and have less highlights. Xiaomi 12s Pro and Ultra displays a 6.73 -inch LTPO screen with a curved edge design, supporting the adaptive refresh rate and 2K resolution. The screen can also present content up to 1,500 nit peak brightness and the depth of the original 10-bit color, provides a range of rich colors and smooth transitions, which according to the brand guarantees HDR entertainment experience.

For batteries and charging, Xiaomi 12s Ultra will be the first model equipped with a new Xiaomi Surge G1 battery management chipset. It has a large battery of 4860 mAh, but the charging speed is 44% slower than the fast charging Xiaomi 12s Pro 100 W.

Chinese telephone makers often rely on partnerships with cameras or famous lens makers to expand their appeal. Huawei previously partnered with Leica for an imaging system on a smartphone.
