Why I Love Essential Oils, and Why I Haven’t Posted Much About Them…yet

By Lindsayleighbentley @lindsayLbentley

I love essential oils.

I have used them because of how great they smell for years and years.  I started using them therapeutically just around a year ago and they have absolutely changed my life.

But I haven’t posted about them much recently because, honestly, I felt that everyone and their mother was doing so and so what is the point of one more voice?

This may be the case, but these oils are a big part of my daily life, and so is this blog.  So, the two must become married which is why you will be hearing a lot more about them here.  Ignore if you would like, learn if you will, join if you feel so inclined.

That’s another huge reason I’ve not “pushed” oils int he past.  Because everyone is selling them, and I feared they would become the next Amway.  Where people begin to feel manipulated and annoyed and the product loses legitimacy because of hype and fad.

So, here’s the deal.  I don’t want you to just buy them.  I want you to be healthy.  I can’t imagine my life without them.  So if you feel that using them will help you and your family find true health, I would encourage you to join.  Don’t buy them because they are a fad.  Don’t buy them because you feel pressured.

I am going to be building my team and working with some other distributors to make a weekly guide for using these oils, as well as having help in answering all of your questions regarding their use.  If you want to help out, or want to be on the learning end – please let me know! You deserve to know how powerful these are, and there are some super simple uses that can completely change the way you treat and prevent illness.  I’m so excited!

Here are a few reasons that I love them:

I recently treated chicken pox (all three kids got it!) with Thieves and Purification.  Their cases were extremely mild and lasted only a few days.  Each kid only got around 15-20 spots and they barely skipped a beat.  Thieves kills viruses, and I’ll do a post soon about how to use it this way.

I zapped a zit overnight with Oregano. (I also burned my eyes, but that’s neither here nor there.)

I breathe in and apply EnerGee at 6am when my alarm goes off so that I can get up and work out.

I’ve used Joy continuously to keep sprits high and focus on the important things.

I use Dragon Time and Lady Sclareol to ease PMS.

I use Peace & Calming nightly on myself and my kids. (I made a spray a long time ago that I spritz over them before bed – they love it!!)  It’s also a brilliant tantrum-stopper.

My husband takes several on the road with him to help keep him healthy while he travels on planes, busses, trains, subways, etc.

I’ve made bug spray that’s safe enough for my kids to drink, but also keeps their little bodies bite free while playing outside.

I make my house smell incredible, spa-like, and clean with White Angelica.

I could go on and on, but I won’t.  What I am going to do is begin posting more often with tips for use.  Because I believe in these things.  They have been used around the world for thousands of years.  Other than colloidal silver and a few herbs from my Wellness Chiropractor, we haven’t used anything for illness or allergies except oils for over a year.

THAT is something you deserve to know about!  I feel bad that I haven’t kept you more informed.  I was so worried about annoying people that I slacked in my responsibility to you to offer knowledge and opportunities to live a healthier, more natural life.

On the sidebar of my main page, you can find a whole file packed with more posts about Oils that I love, uses for them, body and household products, etc!
