Who Is Kingdom Kroseide? Self-Taught Musician Taking Nigerian Idol by Storm

Posted on the 10 May 2021 by Naijaparry

The ability to sing is sometimes naturally gifted or earned through practice like this self-taught singer, Kingdom.

Kingdom Kroseide is not your conventional musician; his love for music came from a passion for sounds. For this reason, he decided to learn how to sing. He started watching youtube videos and other singers. Kingdom honed his vocal talent.

Kingdom combines studying Computer Science and Informatics at the Federal University, Otuoke, Bayelsa, with being a musician. 'You know a school is an easy place where you could get your music viral,' he said. 'It's also a nice social environment, in as much as it's educational. So I guess you could say it works. People know I sing, so it's like I have an arm raised high in my music career here in school.'

Kingdom is not new to singing competitions. In October 2019, he competed in the I Sabi Sing Music Competition, where he emerged as the Bayelsa State Finals winner. He also sings with the Pamela Scott Music band based in Port Harcourt and performs at wedding ceremonies and church services.

Kingdom's entry into Nigerian Idol was unforgettable as he was one of the few contestants to leave the judges moved. Seyi Shay got teary-eyed during his performance while DJ Sose came up to hug him. Kingdom powered his way through the theatre audition group and solos stages to earn a well-deserved spot among the finalists.
