What We Expect from the Samsung Galaxy S11, Galaxy S11 Plus, and Their Brothers

Posted on the 16 December 2019 by Anees @ZulfiqarAAnees

It takes time for Samsung to present the Samsung Galaxy S11 and, surely, the Samsung Galaxy S11 Plus and other versions, but here we tell you what we would like to see in the next cell phones of the company.

Samsung is expected to present the Galaxy S11 in early 2020 and that these come in multiple versions and incorporate several new features, including changes in design, new specifications, and features.

Of course, we also hope that the Samsung Galaxy S11 will retain many of the functions of its predecessors, including wireless charging, reversible wireless charging, its water resistance with IP68 certification and possibly the successor version of One UI 2 (based on Android 10 ).

Without further ado, we present below the main updates that we hope will bring the next Samsung flagship phones.

Goodbye to the headphone port

With the removal of the headphone port on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and the Galaxy Note 10 Plus, we would be really surprised if the company does not do the same with its Galaxy S11 since historically we have seen that the great novelties and/or changes of the Note series they reach the Galaxy line and vice versa.

Fast charging, faster

Given what has been said about the evolution that usually happens between the two series, we hope that at least the Galaxy S11 Plus – if not all – has a more advanced fast charge. It may be that this fast charge is the same 25 watts (25W) of the Galaxy Note 10 or even 45 watts (45W) as the Galaxy Note 10 Plus did.

Not all versions would offer MicroSD slot

The Galaxy S10 5G and the Galaxy Note 10 have been among the few Samsung phones that have not had a microSD card slot, which allows you to expand storage at any time.

With this, we hope that at least one version of the Galaxy S11 does not have this component.

More 5G versions

5G is advancing at a snail’s pace in the United States (and baby steps in other parts of the world), but since it is the next generation of cellular communication, it is necessary that not only operators bet on it, but also manufacturers. It is even possible that operators in the United States exert some pressure on manufacturers to launch more 5G cell phones in 2020.

That said, we would no longer expect to see a Galaxy S11 5G, but it could simply be 5G versions of regular devices.

New processor: Snapdragon 865 or Exynos 9830 / Exynos 990

As usual, we expect the Galaxy S11 to bring a new processor and it is very likely that it could be the cell phone to release it. In particular, we hope that Samsung will continue betting on two processors that allow it to adapt better to different markets and offer the best possible experience.
