Wednesday Wishlist : Festival must haves for Girls!

We’ve already had a few festivals this summer, but there’s also a few more to come! Mainly V Festival in Stafford/Chelmsford and  Leeds/Reading festival . I will be attending V festival and I cannot wait! I love festivals. Planning what to take is just as exciting as when you are actually there!

I like to keep my outfits simple. Denim shorts, cute Tees and then maybe a dress thrown in for good measure.  Accessories are key when going to a festival as you can really personalise an outfit and make it your own. It wont matter that everyone else around you are rocking near identical outfits, You have the edge with your accessories!

Wednesday Wishlist : Festival must haves for Girls!

Firstly, festivals aren’t complete without some kind of waterproof footwear. Always be prepared. Even if its bright sunshine I still take my wellies along!  We’ve all seen the photos from the Isle of Wight! Mud Galore! If you are like me and stick with plain tees and your trusty denim cut offs then you should bring out your personality with some Peeeerfect wellies! These Juju Leopard print ones are fab!

Some people favour a small bag, others a larger one like this Soul Cal Striped Tote Bag. I find these kind of bags really handy as you can fit so much in, I’m sure I’m not the only one that has left their campsite in the morning without a jacket or jumper and then instantly regretted it once it gets a bit chilly in the evenings. If theres a group of you, you can chuck all your cardigans and brollies into one bag and not have to worry about losing anything!

I think one main thing that is on a girls mind while at a festival is “What about my hair!” There are showers at festivals and then some may prefer the option of using dry shampoo all weekend. Distract the fact your hair has seen better days by accessorising with a stylish feather headband or if all else fails and you just dont want your hair on show there are other ways to rectify it!

The quickest, stylish and easiest way to sort out bad hair days would be to throw a hat on like this Soul Cal Trilby! A staple in anyones festival fashion kit! No one knows you havent washed your hair for a few days! If you arent a hat person, why not try using a printed scarf to perk up your hairstyle. Either bung your hair up in a topknot and tie around your head, securing it with a large bow, or if that doesnt float your boat go for a fortune teller style head scarf wrap! Not only does a scarf mean you can hide away your bad hair days, you can use it in other ways to accessorise your handbag, tie to your wrist, wear as a scarf or even use it as a belt! Mutli functional at it’s best!

Last but by no means least, a good pair of sunglasses are a must. We live in the United Kingdom. The weather is unpredictable, it could be raining when you set off but by the time you reach your campsite the sun could be shining! These Soul Cal Aztec Wayfarer sunglasses not only look amazing, they are a steal at £4 in the Republic Sale! Being at a festival also means, lots of late nights with friends so there’s the chance you may suffer with some dark circles from partying hard the night before. Just chuck on a pair of sunglasses the following morning and head on to the arena for more partying.. no one needs to know!

So there you have it, these are my must haves for any girls heading off for a weekend in a field with good music and friends! Do you have any must haves for when you go to festivals? Leave a comment and let us know!
