The 134th edition of the Wimbledon Championships is all set to begin on the 28th of June 2021. After getting canceled last year due to the Coronavirus, the prestigious tournament will be underway when players take center stage in London.

The expectations will be high from this year’s tournament, as it will mark a return for many and a final chance for some players to win a Grand Slam title.

Why Wimbledon is so Special?

Wimbledon is the grandest of all Grand Slam tournaments and also the oldest tournament in the history of the sport. The grass-court makes it special as well as very fast. Players need years of practice and experience to master the technique of playing on the surface.

The world’s best players play in this tournament, and every child dreams of playing and winning this tournament.

What to expect from Wimbledon 2021?

The 2021 edition of the Wimbledon Championship will be a special one. Roger Federer, who will be aiming for his ninth Wimbledon title, has been the topic of discussion around the tournament. Many suggest that this will be the last chance for the Swiss international to win a Grand Slam title.

Federer will be aiming for his 21st Major Grand Slam title, after sustaining multiple injuries in the last couple of years.

In an interview with TennisHead, Federer said:

After I guess the two operations I have to be extremely careful with every move I do. But now it’s really go time. This is essentially where the season really hopefully starts for me.
