EssereAnimali has announced the rescue of three mink from a fur farm in Italy. In a statement they explained (translation), “This past summer we took three mink from a fur farm and released them in the wild, on the banks of a river. They did not wait a second to jump into the water and swim and dive. For the first time in their lives they were able to touch the ground with their feet and explore a real environment, one that was not a miserable cage. To see firsthand their desire to express themselves and to live and enjoy their freedom was a beautiful and emotional moment. Life has changed dramatically for these animals and we want them to represent what the other 200,000 mink prisoners on Italian farms desire, freedom.” Read the full statement here: http://www.essereanimali.org/tre-visoni-liberi/
