U Mobile Malaysia offers Huawei Ascend P1 for RM69 a month
On a Facebook post this morning, U Mobile Malaysia announced their offer for the dual-core 1.5GHz Huawei Ascend P1 smartphone for only RM69 a month. Many of you might be thinking of the brand name which is still unknown unlike the other brands such as Samsung and Apple, but Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. is a Chinese multinational networking and telecommunications equipment and services company headquartered in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China and has offices in United States, Germany, Sweden, Ireland, India Russian and Turkey. Its products and services have been deployed in more than 140 countries and it currently serves 45 of the world’s 50 largest telecoms operators. [Source]
So, Huawei is indeed a humongous company, and there is very little to doubt about the quality of its products or services, above all Huawei smartphones are amongst the cheapest in its class and certainly affordable to most customers. Let’s take the Huawei Ascend P1 for instance, it has Android Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) as the OS, a dual-core 1.5GHz Cortex A9 prcoessor, a PowerVR SGX540 GPU, a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED High definition screen with 540 x 960 pixels (~256 ppi pixel density) Corning Gorilla Glass, 8MP BSI Camera with a 3264×2448 pixels, autofocus and dual-LED flash [check quality] and able to shoot video at 1080p@30fps [check quality].

It also has a 1.3MP front facing camera. Other features include a 7.69mm Slim Body, 64.8mm Narrow Frame Design, DLNA Connection and 5.1 Dolby Sound System. It has an internal memory of 1 GB RAM, 4 GB ROM and can be expanded through a microSD up to 32 GB. All of these for a mere RM1299 (RRP Price), however it is also available from Lazada.com.my for RM949 but please check specs and authenticity first before buying.
