Auction ends on August 30th, 2012.

Kristin Bauer will sign the sweatsuit top personalized for the auction winner.

Kristin Bauer van Straten sported the sweatsuit in the first episode of True Blood’s fifth season in the scene where she turns Tara (Rutina Wesley) into a vampire by spending a night side by side in a grave dug in Sookie’s (Anna Paquin) backyard.

“I am wearing a Walmart sweatsuit for y’all. If that’s not a demonstration of team spirit, I don’t know what is.”

The sweatsuit was created by True Blood’s costume designer Audrey Fisher.

The True Blood Costume Department donated the sweatsuit top to Kristin Bauer van Straten in support of her ongoing fundraiser to finance the documentary Out for Africa that Kristin and her husband Abri van Straten will shoot in Kenya this summer.

Kristin Bauer van Straten on the Out for Africa project:

“This year my husband, Abri van Straten and I are going to Kenya with a camera crew to see majestic Elephant families and Rhino in their natural habitat and to meet with the real heroes who work tirelessly for the African wildlife to shine a light on the crisis facing Elephants and Rhino due to rampant poaching for the ivory and horn trades to supply the growing Asian market.”

Through a successful Kickstarter Campaign Kristin Bauer has already raised $64,000, which should cover half the cost needed for this project.

Now, fundraising will continue on eBay. Upcoming items for auction are a Sookie modesty patch and bra signed by Anna Paquin and a one of a kind, Authority necklace from the True Blood Costume Department.
