Rutger Hauer is joining True Blood for season 6! TV Line reports that the veteran actor who is known for roles in Blade Runner, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Alias, and Smallville will be a series regular next year.
According to the report, Hauer will play Macklyn a character who is dark and sinister and has deep dies to Jason (Ryan Kwanten) and Sookie (Anna Paquin).
