Growl posterFans of HBO’s smash hit True Blood should remember Alcide’s sister, Janice, from season 3.  She also plays Damon’s play thing, Andie Star, on “The Vampire Diaries”, and had a good run on NBC’s “Heroes”.  Dawn Olivieri can next be seen in Growl, set to be released this year.  She plays Deville Maxilla, a member of the only family left in a ghost town in the Rockies.  The film also stars Katee Sackhoff, best known for “Battlestar Galactica” and “24”.  Growl was directed and written by Sxv’leithan Essex, with Lee Cleary producing.  Cleary has worked on over 50 films, including X-Men and The A-Team, going as far back as 1988’s Willow and beyond.

Rest assured we will share the movie trailer as soon as it’s available, but for now, here’s the plot summary by director Sxv’leithan Essex:

A traveling underground fight club called ‘The Brawlers’ arrive at a derelict ghost town tucked away in the Colorado Rockies. They meet the town’s only residents, the Maxilla family who want to buy on to the fight card. But the Maxilla family’s true intentions for the Brawler crew is soon revealed in teeth and claws. Some will be hunted, some will be feed, and some will become part of the family…whether they like it or not.

What do you think Truebies, are we ready for more fur?
