Translating Showing Feedback On Your West Knoxville Home For Sale

Translating Showing Feedback On Your West Knoxville Home For SaleShowing feedback is a rare opportunity to find out what buyers think of your West Knoxville home for sale.  If your home has been sitting on the market, this can be a key insight.

Most sellers are very anxious after a showing. They want to know what a buyer thinks and how the showing went. Showing feedback will provide you with just that. It’s a quick survey that a buyer’s agent fills out after a showing. Unfortunately, not all realtors are good about filling it out.

There are many times, though, where sellers don’t quite know what to make of showing feedback. In this post, we’ll show you how to translate some common examples of showing feedback on your home.

The Price Of The Property Is _____.

The most important feedback that you will receive is on price. Oftentimes, showing feedback included a question over what a buyer think about the price of a West Knoxville home for sale.

In your showing feedback, buyers will have the option of saying that your home is priced about right, a little overpriced, or extremely overpriced. Based on the answers your receive, you should be able to gauge pretty quickly how buyers feel about the price of your home.

There are certain times where sellers consistently receive showing feedback that their home is overpriced and they do nothing about it. If you’ve received showing feedback that your home is overpriced a few times, you may want to reevaluate your home’s price. Your home can help you take a closer look at what is for sale in your area and what has recently sold.

On a final note, before you write off a buyer not being sure what they’re talking about, keep in mind buyers are probably seeing a lot of different homes in that price range. They can very quickly tell what homes are overpriced and what are not.

The Home/Yard Is Too Small.

Occasionally, sellers will receive feedback that their West Knoxville home is too small. Or, sellers will receive feedback that their yard is too small. There’s really no translation for this showing feedback. It means exactly what it says.

As a seller, this can be extremely frustrating feedback. There is really nothing that can be done about the overall size of a house or the size of your yard. Short of adding onto your house or buying the lot next to you (which are both costly), there’s very little that can be done about this.

Don’t take this feedback to heart too much. There is a buyer for every home. You’ll find someone who your home works perfectly for. Don’t get in a tizzy over things that you can’t change about your home.

Liked The Home, But Found Something Else To Buy.

This showing feedback can be hard to handle as a seller. You’re basically hearing that someone likes your home, but they found something else that they liked better. It’s so close, yet so far.

While it’s good to know that a buyer like your home and they may have made an offer. Almost doesn’t count in this situation because they didn’t end up buying your house. Sometimes this can be harder to hear than a buyer that didn’t like your house because you were so close to getting an offer.

The takeaway from this feedback usually means that your home is priced fairly and that the overall condition of the home is desirable. Eventually, you’ll find the right buyer that it works out perfectly for.

The Home Isn’t What Buyer Was Looking For.

Finally, you may get some kind of response where the buyer states that the home isn’t quite what they’re looking for. As a seller, sometimes this feedback can feel harsh since you have such great love for your home.

There are many different variations that a seller may receive. Regardless, when a buyer states that the home doesn’t fit what they’re looking for, it can be hard not to hear this comment.

But, keep in mind, every buyer has different preferences. Some buyers like newer homes, while other like homes with character. Some buyers may want more modern while others want more traditional. When a buyer says a home isn’t for him, there honestly not much you can take away. Take it that every buyer has different preferences and maybe your home just isn’t the right fit for him.
