President Donald Trump at the West Palm Beach International Airport

Startling combination of egotism and delusion, President Donald Trump, tweeted a claim yesterday that TIME magazine had approached him to be their “Person Of The Year” for the second year in a row, but that he turned them down. TIME would beg to differ.

According to the Huffington Post, Trump once again demonstrated his already famous difficulty with prioritization. Trump felt it necessary to let us known that he turned TIME down and not the other way around.

Time Magazine called to say that I was PROBABLY going to be named “Man (Person) of the Year,” like last year, but I would have to agree to an interview and a major photo shoot. I said probably is no good and took a pass. Thanks anyway!

TIME refused to entertain POTUS’ inferiority complex and declared him “incorrect.” If you’ll recall, Trump has a fake TIME cover singing his praises that hangs in several of his golf clubs here and abroad. Trump has a weird thing about TIME.

The President is incorrect about how we choose Person of the Year. TIME does not comment on our choice until publication, which is December 6.

In other news, even our more ridiculous past Presidents are rolling in their graves over this being reality. James Buchanan let the Civil War happen and even he’s like “this bitch…” Of course, Twitter had some fun with the President’s latest bullshit.

You can always print yourself another fake cover.

TIME’s editors pick “Person of the Year,” but readers can vote for their choice in an online poll. And Trump wasn’t in the lead last time they checked.

As of Friday, Trump only had 5 percent of the vote in that poll. Saudi Arabia’s crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman, led Trump by 16 percent.

That 5% probably consists solely of Trump employees who won’t receive their Christmas bonus unless they vote for his crazy ass.
