Tim Thomas Traded To New York Islanders For a @nd Round Pick In a Salary Cap Move

Eklund (of all people) broke that the Broston bruins traded goalie Tim Thomas to the New York Islanders (who already have Nabovkov) for a 2nd Round Pick.
The move supposedly for the Islanders is to get them above the Salary Cap floor. It had been rumored that the Bruins were going to cut tied with Thomas in a cap move to get under the cap after the season, so they ended up getting "something".
Bruins had already suspended Thomas for the season so this is no loss for them
