Who didn’t want to be Emily Elizabeth with her big red dog, Clifford? Now kids aged 3+ can join Emily on a color adventure thanks to Rainbow Science with Clifford the Big Red Dog kit!

Narrated by Emily, the glossy 20 page  guide details a slew of hands-on experiments.

Young Scientists Club Review: Rainbow Science with Clifford the Big Red Dog

The Rainbow Science with Clifford the Big Red Dog is a colorful, activity-filled kit that’s full of science fun.

Although little hands need grown-up supervision, they can tackle many of the science experiments with just a bit of guidance.

Each experiment contains easy to follow, step by step instructions. At the end of each color-themed experiment is an explanation to explain the why behind the what! Even the most science-confused parent will be able to follow this one!

What will you find inside the Young Scientists Club Rainbow kit?

  • Full-Color Manual
  • Pipette
  • (3) Test Tubes
  • Funnel
  • Lab Tray with Test Tube Holders, Bowl, and Wells
  • (6) Pieces of Chromatography Paper
  • Rainbow Glasses
  • Mirror
  • White Circular Cardboard
  • Small Measuring Cup
  • Crayons
  • Pencil

Rainbow Science with Clifford the Big Red Dog: Experiment in Progress

To perform the experiments, you will need water, baking soda, vinegar, vegetable oil and food coloring. These are things you most likely have around the house so you probably won’t need to make any special trips to the store before you dive in and explore color!

You can choose among science experiments like Milk Rainbow, Chromatography bookmarks (our favorite so far), Rainbow Colored Explosions, Catching a Rainbow, Rainbow Glasses, Rainbow Spinner, and more. Just like the Magic School Bus Science Kit: Explore the Wonders of Nature, you know that it is cleverly themed and entirely created with engaging kids in mind.

We tackled a couple of the experiments. Both of our boys, ages 8 and 4, loved using the pipette! They would continue on with their experimenting (in other words, just playing around) because they enjoyed using it with the test tubes so much.

Science Fun for Everyone

Rainbow Science with Clifford the Big Red Dog: Experiment Result

Rainbow Science with Clifford the Big Red Dog would make a great gift to get kids excited about science and learn more about something they see every single day! You can find new science experiments each week on the The Young Scientists Club Facebook Page.

As simple to use as they are, they leave quite a science imprint on young minds! Our youngest loved this science kit–and showing off all the color names he knew. There’s plenty of others in the Young Scientists Club kits, too.
