The Woes of a Menopausal Woman

Woes of a Menopausal Woman

Menopause doesn’t affect all us in the same way. Some women are lucky enough to go through it with little to no agony or symptoms. Others are deeply affected to the point that medication(s) may be needed to help them through.

I Suffer

I’m 47 years old, and I have been having symptoms for at least ten years. The symptoms vary:

  • Hot flashes
  • Night sweats
  • Irregular periods and flow
  • Mood swings
  • Depression
  • Inability to focus or be consistent
  • Always seeking a challenge
  • Headaches
  • Body aches

It affects my life, and there is almost nothing I can do to stop it. I can only camouflage the symptoms and pray for understanding from my friends, family, and blogosphere.

Focus and Consistency

For those who have followed along with My Girly Parts from the beginning, you have seen me stray from talking Menopause to Social Media topics and back again. This is one of the effects of Menopause for me. I need an excuse, and this is the one I chose.

The Menopausal Woman

I posted this publicly in a Menopausal group on Facebook. I was pleased to find so many women agree with it. It makes me feel better knowing I’m not alone in my crazy little world.

My inability to focus, stay consistent or what more is a symptom, a bad one. One that I no longer care to have as it has me on a roller coaster ride with my blog.

Reality Check

I posted in another group on Facebook-

The fate of my Blog?

Thankfully, a very kind person replied and questioned me as to Why? She also shared a cool link to an article that made up my mind. I think the article is so good that I would love for you to read it and bookmark it for whenever you begin to doubt yourself and the validity of your blog.

I’m Not Going Anywhere

I recently sent out a Newsletter about the demise of My Girly Parts.

Please disregard it

I also emailed Team MGP, our Contributors, and advised them of the demise.

Please disregard it

I’m not going anywhere, and neither is My Girly Parts. The Mission began over three years ago and I, WE must continue with it.
