It’s about time we had this type of Sherlock news! The villain that Sherlock and Watson will be facing off against in season 3 has been revealed to the masses. Here is your first look at Lars Mikkelsen as Charles Augustus Magnussen. The reveal came from producer Sue Vertue on Twitter.

While not the exact same name, this character seems to be based off of Charles Augustus Milverton, who was the “king of all blackmailers” who Holmes described as more distasteful than any of the murders he had encounter during his career.
Sherlock is set to return to the UK later this year and will come here to the US in early 2014.
