Couch Gag – This time Homer pops out ending up on the floor.

Plot SynopsisAfter being embarrassed by the rest of the family at a company picnic, Homer becomes obsessed with improving their behavior towards each other.

What is going on reallyThis episode starts with The Simpson family preparing for a work picnic which means everyone must be in good behaviour, or Mr Burns will fire the employee on the Monday.

While Homer tries to keep Bart in order Marge ends up having a couple of drinks of punch only to find herself wasted at the work picnic. We get to see how Mr Burns ends parties quickly releasing the hounds on anyone who is late out of the party.

After the party Homer sees how his family could be better behaved compared to other families and more together in everyday routine. After witnessing the togetherness in other families Homer and the rest of the family try to work on improving things.

Seeing an advert on the television at the bar Homer turns to Dr Marvin Monroe family therapy, as we also get to see Itchy and Scratchy for the first time. We get to see how the therapy failed but also bought the family closer together.

Final ThoughtsThis episode showed how the family needed to work together to be happy even if the rest of the families you know seem different. Your family is what keeps you happy is the message in this episode and easily on that you will not remember in the rest of the series.
