The amazing plan of Mars One foundation’s building a human settlement on Mars received a great deal of attention in the past few months when thousands of people signed on their death wish to participate in a never-return one way trip to Mars. If everything goes according to plan, this non-profit foundation project will send four people to Mars in 2022 to make foundation for a human colony on the great big red planet.
Apparently, getting selected to this trip is not an easy task. Over 200k people have already signed on to this project and only four lucky people will be selected to send for the first part of the mission. And that is after putting them through 8 years of training. Even when they are on the mission, it’s not going to be a fun ride. According to this infographic designed by Graphs.net, those folks will have to spend 7-8 months on a capsuled vessel on the way to Mars without any showers and eating only canned, frozen food and drinking their own recycled urine.
