The Official Indian Version Of Gangnam Style Called Desi Gangnam LaunchedThe official Indian version of Gangnam style was launched on Monday (March 4th) at Dharavi. Actor Jackky Bhagnani, who performed the Desi Gangnam Style, bought the rights from the Korean pop sensation PSY.

The launch of the song took place at Mumbai’s largest slums – Holy Maidaan in Dharavi. At the launch, Jackky Bhagnani said: “In November, when I saw and heard the song with my friends for the first time ……. I loved it. Since then, I started the process of acquiring rights for the song and we’ve called our version Desi Gangnam.”

The Desi Gangnam song is from the film Rangrezz, directed by Priyadarshan and produced by Vashu Bhagnani. Music for the film is given by Sajid – Wajid and Sundar C Babu.

Rangrezz is a Hindi remake of Tamil hit film Naadodigal and it stars Jackky Bhagnani, Priya Anand, Rajpal Yadav, Akshara Gowda and Amitosh Nagpal.

The official trailer for Rangrezz was released on December 16th, 2012 and will hit theatres on March 21st, 2013.

The Desi Gangnam song has been shot in Mumbai and it features Marine Drive, Dhobi Ghaat and CST.
