The Jhumka Diaries: My Top 5 Favourite Bollywood/Kollywood Looks of 2013!

By Deepikadivassence
Last year saw quite a few Bollywood and Kollywood actresses embracing their ethnic side, be it in movies, events or even at Cannes. Here are my top 5 picks from last year!
Sonakshi Sinha in the song Saree ke Fall: Although the song was criticized for it's mindless lyrics, I'll have to admit, not only was the tune catchy but the 3 outfits Sonakshi wore in that song were amazing in terms of color. She paired bright, bold colors well and diligently picked colors that suited her well.

Nayantara in Raja Rani: My only pick from Kollywood is Nayantara's styling in Raja Rani. Her ethnic outfits reflected elegance and we can take a cue or two from her outfits in the movies. Her big hair, kohl-rimmed eyes and bindi completed the outfits well and it was very refreshing to see her in classy, ethnic outfits.

Deepika Padukone in Goliyon ki Raasleela Ram Leela: Take a look at the pictures will you! Need I say more?? Her outfits which had a rich earthy red as a primary color and the pretty accessories were a hit in my books!

Kareena Kapoor in Gori Tere Pyaar Mein: Kareena's heavily kohled eyes, ethnic outfits in earthy colors, jhumkas and bindi reminded me of me. :) I absolutely love this look and it is what I wear on a day to day basis.

Sonakshi Sinha in Lootera: I absolutely loved the 1950s look and Sonakshi had carried it off well. Her simple yet elegant sarees, plaited hair and bindi reminds you of a girl next door. Take a look at the picture below.
