THE SHOWS

I had a looooong day yesterday. I got to work at 7AM and didn't get home til 8pm and then worked until 11pm. I took a break to watch one of my favorite shows, The Goldbergs, but honestly it was a stressful, crazy day and I couldn't watch much more than that.
THE GOLDBERGS
It is true that television is an escape. I never really think of it that way, but after the day I had, I decided to give myself 22 minutes and curl up with my Blackberry (yes I still have one) and watch my favorite family. Adam on skates...disastrous, but as we know, Adam the filmmaker...awesome. Murray finally let Adam give up the hockey and became the star of Alien Dad where he had a bloody sock puppet alien explode out of his belly. Hilarious. Of course my favorite...Bev Goldberg, stole the episode YET AGAIN! Erica was studying for the SAT's and Bev took the liberty of firing Wendy Woo the tutor and taking the job on herself. Once she found out that Erica wanted to go to Stanford...3000 miles away she fed her turkey and milk during her study sessions and made flash cards of fake vocabulary words like scubulence, flimjam, plorpf and torculant (my fave) to sabotage her daughters test score. Of course Erica figured it out and had the best quote of the night with "I HATE THAT YOU LOVE ME SO MUCH". The Goldbergs was exactly what i needed after a Tuesday from hell. Thanks as always guys. (Bonus question...name the song and the band from last nights episode)
THE OTHER STUFF
-Huge news yesterday...Anne Sweeney long time head of ABC Television is leaving to fulfill her dream of directing. Gotta give her props for going out there and giving it a shot. She's not leaving til the end of the year, but in her spare time, I'm guessing she's gotta go take some classes, learn about camera's and stuff. Pretty cool actually. We should all be so lucky to be in a position to take a risk and live out a dream. Congrats Anne!
-I guess Anne inspired Tom Bergeron to leave America's Funniest Home Videos after next season. His 15th year hosting the show will be his last.  15 years ago there wasn't even an Internet really.  People were still using their giant video camera's and mailing in tapes!  Tom's leaving but continuing to focus on his life long dream of hosting a dance competition show on Anne's network.
-Rebekah, one of the Original vampires from The Vampire Diaries and The Originals is being written out of the show. Apparently they're done with her. She may (or may not) come back as a guest star. I haven't been watching The Originals, but couldn't they send her back to Mystic Falls? Nadia's dead hopefully and Matt's got nobody. I'm sure Rebekah would make him feel better for a little while no?
-I'm sure you've seen this already. This work stuff has really put me a bit behind the eight ball. I don't know if this is the funniest Between Two Ferns ever, but it's worth watching. Of course the Prez did what he came to do...plugged his health care stuff. Check it out anyway...especially if you're not having a great day.
